Exadata: X3 hardware may be damaged during upgrade with FCC enabled

If you have an Exadata X3 server, and have upgraded recently or are planning an upgrade, you NEED to read the My Oracle Support article "Following software upgrade on X3 hardware with Exadata Smart Flash Cache Compression enabled, multiple flash drives may fail, leading to reduced performance or data loss" from document ID 1968234.1 to find out what you have to do.  Were you aware that Oracle is recommending you don't upgrade if you have FCC enabled because of this issue?  Check out the story, and also find out what else is recommended if you HAVE to upgrade.
