Well looking at My Oracle Support document 2143556.1 it appears that there are mismatched versions causing this, and the required patches are listed in the document!

R12.2.4 Receivables: Create Accounting errors due to imbalanced CM application distributions
Although MOS document "Create Accounting Completed With Error (319) Unbalanced Distributions of CM Application" from article ID 2116697.1 does not give you an exact issue or resolution, it may help you to build some proactive alerting around an imbalance in credit and debit entries in AR_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL.

R12.1.3 Receivables: Cannot Close period with unposted adjustment
If you have had to deal with Closing a period in A/P or A/R, you are probably very cognizant about unposted transactions holding up the process! The article "Unable to Close the Period Due to Unposted Adjustment" on My Oracle Support in document ID 2077446.1 gives us yet another reason how a transaction can be in such an incorrect state so it requires an SR to get a datafix, but with the script and information provided we can build a proactive alert against that situation!

R12.1.3 Receivables: Autoinvoice gives error "The web server returned an error"
Tonight with this MOS article "Autoinvoice Import Errors with The web server returned an error" from document ID 2053754.1 it is important to notice that this affects the Autoinvoice Import (RAXTRX) AND Master (RAXMTR) programs with an unknown cause so it could happen at any time in your environment at a time you could not afford to bounce Apache services!

R12.1.3 Receivables: Posting Execution Report does not generate after upgrade
Like most of you, I was intrigued after reading this MOS title "ARXGTR.rdf Posting Execution Report fails to regenerate" so I clicked on note ID 2010272.1 to find out this was the expected behavior after upgrading to R12.1.3 as the report is obsolete with another report taking its place.

Weekend Learning: New A/R program for Month-end Close
If you did not get the chance to hear my co-worker's presentation (@viswavadlamani) during OAUG's COLLABORATE conference, you may have missed a new development from Oracle regarding the Account Receivables module at Month-end Close! Have you ever had transactions which prevent the A/R period from being closed? Have you had to open P1 SRs to engage Oracle during the Close cycle? Visit the document on My Oracle Support "How to Setup the New Manage Accounting Exception Program in Receivables?" via note ID 1937611.1 for all the details on a new concurrent manager process which appears to wrap some of their known issue identification scripts in order to find these issues PRIOR to Close!

R12.2.3: New profile option to run Create Accounting in detail
Upgrading to R12 brought a lot of changes from 11.5.10.2 across every module and Receivables with the transition from needing to run the "General Ledger Transfer" report to running the "Create Accounting" report. With R12.2.3 enough people have requested a new feature so the Create Accounting can mimic the General Ledger Transfer a bit which My Oracle Support article "How to run create accounting in detail level with no merge in R12" goes into detail in document ID 1992895.1 about the patch required and the profile option which needs to be enabled to take advantage of this development.

R12: Revenue Recognition Execution Report signal 6
Did you know that in R12 your Revenue Recognition Execution Report can end up generating an error message of “was terminated by signal 6”? We had that exact scenario happen to us when the business ran multiple copies of this report for the same org that started at the EXACT same second! We did not find any hits on MOS for a resolution, so we asked the business to run them again but in sequence instead of parallel and they both completed successfully. Searching on MOS does not yield great results, but the closest hit is note ID 1631873.1 which matches some of the error details we saw at that time, but the resolution for it is all wrong as we did not need to patch:

R12.1.3: Unable to print A/R Invoices with BPA after patching
After reading My Oracle Support note "Bill Presentment Architecture (BPA) Issue: Unable to Print AR Invoices using BPA Transaction Print - The Print Program Does Not Produce Any PDF Output - File Size = 0" via note 1933710.1 I learned that BPA can have an issue after applying an Oracle patch related to a different issue! While it appears a template can be changed from xslfo to XSL-FO the change actually needs to take place in the Oracle provided code so instead of being a setup change it requires another Oracle patch to be deployed.

R12.1.3: Event Oracle.Apps.AR.Adjustments.Adjustment.Approve not firing
Coming from a world of few business events to where we have a whole bunch more with our R12.1.3 installation, the MOS article "Transactions Workbench: Creating an Adjustment Does Note Fire Oracle.Apps.AR.Adjustments.Adjustment.Approve Event" from document 1632402.1 drew my attention. Did you know that this business event is designed not to be fired now in R12.1.3? Read the document and learn why!

Troubleshooting Automatic Remittances
Related to an old post of mine on batches where I ran into problems due to automatic batch numbering, I found another My Oracle Support article that needs bookmarking in "Automatic Remittances: Troubleshooting, Errors, Known Issues and Patches" via document ID 1369785.1. This article will give you a lot more than just troubleshooting on Automatic Remittances for versions of the EBS application including 11.5.10 and after including patches, errors and other known issues. Why favorite this? Well it has been updated within the last month so it is absolutely relevant as new information keeps being released by Oracle and it is possible new patches are deployed and you can find out about it here first.
EDIT 9/11: I realized this morning that I forgot to link to my previous post! Oops! Fixed now though. :}

R12.1.3: Invoice adjustments blocked for inaccurate accounting
Sometimes when searching for one thing, you find another, and the article "Invoice Adjustments Ends in Error - This Action Has Been Blocked To Avoid Inaccurate Accounting Entries" via document ID 1626521.1 is no different. I am lucky that we haven't had any reports of the error "This action has been blocked to avoid inaccurate accounting entries" being encountered yet, but I am going to be checking the version of ARALLOCB.pls that we have in our system to make sure that we will not be getting it in the future. Will you be checking as well, or will you encounter the issue when you can least afford it?

R12.1.3: Can a refund from Receivables have a Payables invoice in a different OU?
I am not sure why this feature is requested, but I do not spend time designing business cases so I assume this could be valid in certain scenarios depending on different business processes that some companies may have. Regardless, it appears that this could have existed prior to R12.1.3 but is not possible after that code release per MOS note 1626484.1, yet if you need it to work this way an Enhancement Request has been opened in bug 18274880. Oracle suggests that you open an SR, and mention this bug, if you want to be associated with the development of the ER.
